Scope:This SAE Standard specifies requirements for two types, two classes and three styles of reinforced hose for conveying gasoline or diesel fuel aboard small craft including pleasure craft whose fuel systems are regulated under 33 CFR 183 Subpart J.Refer to SAE J1942 Hose and Hose Assemblies for commercial marine nonmetallic flexible hose or hose assemblies used in systems on board commercial vessels inspected and certified by the U.S. Coast Guard.

【摘要】:Thistestmethodisdesignedtoproducemembranecompressivepropertydataformaterialspecifications,researchanddevelopment,qualityassurance,andstructuraldesignandanalysis.Factorsthatinfluencethecompressiveresponseandshouldthereforebereportedincludethefollowing:material,methodsofmaterialandspecimenpreparation,specimenconditioning,environmentoftesting,specimenalignment,speedoftesting,timeatreinforcement.Properties,inthetestdirection,thatmaybeobtainedfromthistestmethodinclude:5.1.1Ultimatecompressivestrength,5.1.2Ultimatecompressivestrain,5.1.3Compressive(linearorchord)modulusofelasticity,and5.1.4Transitionstrain.1.1Thistestmethodcoversthein-planecompressivepropertiesofpolymermatrixcompositematerialsreinforcedbyhigh-modulusfibersinasandwichbeamconfiguration.Thecompositematerialformsarelimitedtocontinuous-fibercompositesofunidirectionalorientation.Thistestprocedureintroducescompressiveloadintoathinskinbondedtoathickhoneycombcorewiththecompressiveloadtransmittedintothesamplebysubjectingthebeamtofour-pointbending.1.2Thisprocedureisapplicableprimarilytolaminatesmadefromprepregorsimilarproductforms.Otherproductformsmayrequiredeviationsfromthetestmethod.1.3ThevaluesstatedineitherSIunitsorinch-poundunitsaretoberegardedseparatelyasstandard.Withinthetexttheinch-poundsunitsareshowninbrackets.Thevaluesstatedineachsystemarenotexactequivalents;therefore,eachsystemmustbeusedindependentlyoftheother.Combiningvaluesfromthetwosystemsmayresultinnonconformancewiththestandard.Note18212;AdditionalproceduresfordeterminingcompressivepropertiesofpolymermatrixcompositesmaybefoundinTestMethodsD3410/D3410MandD695.1.4Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
