【摘要】:Thistestmethoddeterminestheresponseoftextilestoastandardignitionsource,derivingmeasurementvaluesforafterflametime,afterglowtime,andcharlength.Theverticalflameresistance,asdeterminedbythistestmethod,onlyrelatestoaspecifiedflameexposureandapplicationtime.Thistestmethodmaintainsthespecimeninastatic,draft-free,verticalpositionanddoesnotinvolvemovementexceptthatresultingfromtheexposure.TestMethodD6413hasbeenadoptedfromFederalTestStandardNo.191Amethod5903.1,whichhasbeenusedformanyyearsinacceptancetesting.Thebetween-laboratoryprecisionofthistestmethodhasnotbeenestablished.RefertoSection14forsingle-laboratoryprecision.Iftherearedifferencesorpracticalsignificancebetweenreportedtestresultsfortwolaboratories(ormore),comparativetestsshouldbeperformedtodetermineifthereisastatisticalbiasbetweenthem,usingcompetentstatisticalassistance.Asaminimum,thetestsamplesusedshouldbeashomogeneousaspossible,thataredrawnfromthematerialfromwhichthedisparatetestresultsareobtained,andthatareassignedrandomlyinequalnumberstoeachlaboratoryfortesting.Othermaterialswithestablishedtestvaluesmaybeusedforthispurpose.Thetestresultsfromthetwolaboratoriesshouldbecomparedusingastatisticaltestforunpaireddata,ataprobabilitylevelchosenpriortothetestingseries.Ifabiasisfound,eitheritscausemustbefoundandcorrected,orfuturetestresultsmustbeadjustedinconsiderationontheknownbias.1.1Thistestmethodisusedtomeasuretheverticalflameresistanceoftextiles.1.1.1Asapartofthemeasureofflameresistance,afterflameandafterglowcharacteristicsareevaluated.1.2Thisstandardshallbeusedtomeasureanddescribetheresponseofmaterials,products,orassembliestoheatandflameundercontrolledlaboratoryconditionsandshallnotbeusedtodescribeorappraisethefirehazardorfireriskofmaterials,products,orassembliesunderactualfireconditions.1.3ThevaluesstatedineitherSIunitsorotherunitsaretoberegardedseparately.Thevaluesstatedineachsystemarenotexactequivalents;therefore,eachsystemshallbeusedindependentlywithoutcombiningvalues.1.4Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
