【摘要】:1.1Theserequirementscoverfusedpower-circuitdevicestobeemployedinaccordancewiththeNationalElectricalCode.1.2Fusedpower-circuitdevices,ascoveredbytheserequirements,areconsideredtobeeitherboltedpressurecontactswitchesorhigh-pressurebutt-typecontactswitches.1.3Bolted-pressurecontactswitchesaredevicesinwhichtheblade-jawconnectionshaveanadditionalpressureorclampingactionprovidedatbothendsoftheswitchbladeswhenthebladesareinthefullyclosedposition.1.4High-pressurebutt-typecontactswitchesaredeviceshavingbutt-typecontactsandaspring-chargedmechanism.1.5Theserequirementsdonotapplytolow-voltageACpowercircuitprotectorsascoveredbytheStandardforLowVoltageACPowerCircuitProtectorsUsedinEnclosures,ANSI/IEEEC37.29,ortolow-voltageACintegrallyfusedpowercircuitbreakersascoveredbytheStandardforLow-VoltageACPowerCircuitBreakersUsedinEnclosures,ANSI/IEEEC37.13.1.6Fusedpower-circuitdevicesmaybemanuallyorelectricallyoperatedandmayincorporateelectricaltrippingmeans.1.7Anelectricallytrippeddeviceisonewhoseclosingisperformedmanuallyorelectricallybutcontactopeningisperformedbyareleaseenergizedbyaseparatesourceofvoltage.1.8Adevicewithanelectricaloperatorisonewhosecontactclosingandopeningisperformedbyelectricalmeans.1.9Fusedpower-circuitdeviceshavecontinuouscurrentratingsofmorethan600Aandvoltageratingsof600VorlessAC,DC,orboth.DevicesratedACareintendedforuseoncircuitshavingmaximumavailableshort-circuitcurrentsof100,000,150,000,or200,000A(rmssymmetrical).DevicesratedDCareintendedforuseoncircuitshavingmaximumavailableshort-circuitcurrentsof20,000,50,000,100,000,150,000,or200,000ADC.1.9revisedDecember17,19961.10TheserequirementscoverdeviceswithprovisionformountingClassLfusesorClassTfusesratedmorethan600A.1.11Theserequirementscovercomplete,enclosedfusedpower-circuitdevicesinwhichtheswitchisintegralwiththeenclosure;open-typefusedpower-circuitdevicesintendedformountinginotherequipment,suchasswitchboardsorinaseparatelyshippedenclosure;andenclosuresintendedformountingopen-typefusedpower-circuitdevices.1.11revisedDecember17,19961.12Theserequirementsalsocoverelectricallytrippedand/oroperateddevicesthathavebeeninvestigatedtodeterminetheiracceptabilityforground-faultprotectionwhencombinedwithground-faultsensingandrelayingequipmentasfollows:a)SwitchesforusewithClassIground-faultsensingandrelayingequipmentincludingthosedevicesthatarecapableofinterrupting12timestheirratedcurrentorthathaveintegralmeansintendedtopreventdisconnectingatlevelsoffaultcurrentexceedingthecontactinterruptingcapabilityoftheswitch.b)SwitchesforusewithClassIIground-faultsensingandrelayingequipmentarecapableofinterruptingat10timestheirratedcurrentandareforuseinground-faultprotectionsystemswheremeansintendedtopreventdisconnectinglevelsatfaultcurrentexceedingthecontactinterruptingcapabilitiesoftheswitchareincorporatedwithintheground-faultsensingandrelayingequipment.
